A review of Prezzo by Tom written on Wednesday 28th of March 2007
I can't understand all the bad reviews on this website, maybe it's a case of people are only writing reviews when things are bad, not when something is worth recommending.
I live in Woodbridge and I have eaten in the Woodbridge restaurant many, many, many times. I've also eaten 4 or 5 times at Aldeburgh, Norwich and Newmarket (all have their own individual character).
In all my visits, probably getting on for around 20, I have NEVER had a bad meal, in fact I would go as far as saying they have all been great. Pizzas are lovely, but I can never bring myself to have one when the pasta (especially the Al Forno dishes) is so appetising. If the restaurants really were that bad I doubt I would have had the luck to go 20 times without having a single problem.
Yes, staff are usually foreign, with an accent, but I've never had a communication problem and have always found them to be polite and helpful. They are a little slow bringing the bill, but that seems to be the case at most places these days, the emphasis seems to be changing to "YOU tell us when YOU want to leave" rather than making people feel hassled out.
I wholeheartedly recommend the four restaurants I've mentioned, and based on my experience at those, the rest of the chain, I certainly look them up wherever I may be visiting..
