"Nandos is not halal"

A review of Nandos by The light written on Monday 2nd of April 2007

Electricuting the chicken whether it be to stun or kill it is 100% haram and not permissible in islam. The chicken is in a state of shock and then it is slaughtered just to save time and money. The chicken should not be in a state of shock when it is slaughtered as that tenses up itself and the blood is not drained fully from its body. I urge nandos to either change its supplier or cease telling the public it is halal. If not, i urge all muslims to boycott their restaurants and too pass the e-mail around which explains why nandos is not halal and to contact the Halal Food Comittee on their website which will be investigating the matter further. Nandos supplier is freemans who also explain on their website how halal they are! .
