You can use the ALDI internet phone with other softphones or ATA's
I've been using it quite happily with a LINKSYS PAP2 with no problems for the past month or so.
The settings should work with other adapters but these are for a linksys pap2
If you have a PAP2 just put the following in the proxy and outbound proxy fields. 84.45.112.7
In the voicemail server field enter: voicemail@emediatelecom.com
This will mean you get a stuttered dial tone if someone leaves a message.
In display name put your exchange and number e.g. Cambridge 912345
In user id and auth id put your number in the international format e.g 441223912345
Password will be your password.
If you want a proper local dialling like a normal phone insert the following into the dial plan field*xx|[2-9]xxxxxS0|0[1-9]xxxxxxxxxS0|001[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|1[0-9]xxxxxx.|00[2-9]xxxxx.)
The 01??? to be replace by your own area code e.g 01223. this means you can call numbers in your area with just the 6 digits like a normal phone.
on the Sip menu page. insert the stun.fwdnet.net in the stun server field at the bottom of page..
