A review of Aldi by Mazinoz written on Saturday 26th of May 2007
I purchased one of these as I thought it would be more
convenient to replace a headset I usually damage every few weeks.
Well, I could install it in windows running under linux with no problems as well as Skype for windows under linux. But the phone didn't work.
HOWEVER it only worked in linux after I downloaded a DRIVER, then it went well. The site I downloaded the working driver from is:
www.http://yamamoto-group.co.uk/index.php?page=download
I solely use linux, but I think the windows driver from this site would also work. For a discussion see: http://help.lockergnome.com/linux/Aldi-Tevion-USB-internet-phone-ftopict412696.htmlthis
(I am a 50+ female, and I have a boarder who is an electrical engineer, and it really pissed him off when I got this to work and he hadn't been able to).
