Another thought - make sure your computer detects it as a USB device and you set your sound device / player to using the Aibelive USB driver for input and output and activate it and check volumes, and enable this device in Skype etc also. In linux this is under Options in Skype.

Actually, I think this might be the basis for the problems people are having. This is not mentioned in the instructions. I cannot give detailed instructions for Windows users.
