A review of Aldi by Mazinoz written on Saturday 2nd of June 2007
Dear Robert
I believe there are two phones sold by Aldi. In Australia I purchased one that has no display but still
easier for me to use than a headset, uses little space.
I believe there is also one with a display.
I use linux and it identified it as a Creative device under lsusb. This site may help.
http://help.lockergnome.com/linux/Aldi-Tevion-USB
-internet-phone-ftopict412696.html. It mentions yealink
and yamamoto. Found linux installs it without needing
to find drivers. I ran the windows cd under wine and
linux and it says it sets up a H80-Buzzer-mode-UpDown-USB phone?? v 3.4.0.9.
On the CD provided there are two files, Setup.exe and Skype.exe. I can send you the Setup.exe file as an attachment if you could give me your email address.
The Skype.exe file is 19mb and I can't send you this, but it probably isn't essential. .
