"AVOID ALDI ELECTRICS"

Have been regular customers of ALDI for around 2 years now, they are to be congratulated for the normal everyday lines, grocery, greengrocery, butchery, booze etc..... also there bi weekly specials are fantastic value for money too, just bought the egyptian cotton bedding, fantastic. BUT, if you have any sense, steer clear of all electrics!!! Bought the iron with water reservoir, lasted less than a month, because we'd mislaid the receipt, only solution was to wait until they had same line in again and exchange it, which we did, the 2nd iron lasted around 2 months!!! Bought a fantastic value radiator cabinet around March, suppose we SHOULD have opened the box and examined the contents, but we didn;t. When we came to use it, after decorating, in May, the parts were for completely difference sizes!!!! We DID have the receipt and were given a full refund, even though outside 28 day period. We've also had problems with radios, phones, small iron, the list goes on..... would NOT recommend Aldi therefore for electrical goods but for everything listed above AND fantastic staff, who work so hard, TOP MARKS TO ALDI.
