A review of Aldi by Davey written on Monday 17th of September 2007
For years I carried an inverter and an angle grinder in my car just in case of cowboy clampers. Funniest story ever head was of a cowboy who clamped the car of three army blokes on leave who had stopped to buy fish and chips. The cowboy was caught in the act and told several times to take the clamp off. "No" he said, to which the final reply was a punch from the cars owner (a huge bloke). "Are you going to take it off now?" said the cars owner, "No" was the answer, to which the reply was another punch. After three punches and now with a very bloody nose, the cowboy changed his mind and took the clamp off. Served him right! Incidentally if you have a front wheel drive car and they clamp a back wheel you may be able to drag the clamp onto a public road and then make your own arrangements. In Scotland only the Police can clamp vehicles. Scots law is so superior in many respects (especially in dealing with cheats) that I sometimes consider moving up north..
