A review of The Gandhi Indian Cuisine Restaurant by Umashankar written on Thursday 10th of January 2008
I would like to put a serious note to the owner and operators of the Gandhi Restaurant. The food, drinks and the people serving the restaurant are fine. However, as an Indian I have a major issue here. The restaurant is named after Gandhi which is a common name in India. But it has blatantly showcased the Father of Indian country 'Mahatma Gandhi' on the menu offering hardcore non-vegetarian dishes and liquor. Non-vegetarianism and sale/consumption of alcohol was totally against the philosophy Mahatma Gandhi during his struggle for India's Independence. Please refer to the website:
