"Richer Sounds - Hollower Experience"

They advertise really good equipment at really low prices, but, surprise surprise, when you go to the shop the bargain piece of equipment is out of stock. One of the salesmen, (who are absolutely excellent), will then flog you a bit of Cambridge equipment that you didn't really want anyway.

If your very insistant, they might offer to sell you the one nice piece if equipment that they have, from the display, open box, no instructions, not really a joyfull "new hi-fi" experience. This has happened to me many times over the last 6 or 7 years. I just go to the official retailers and pay full price now. I know I'm not going to get a bargain, but I also know that I'm going to get what I went to the shop for. Nice and new, unopened in the original box, lovely! Richer punters probably never have this experience..
