A review of Aldi by Evelyn Beer written on Tuesday 29th of January 2008
We bought a Tevion PVR in June 2006 which was perfectly alright until we ran updates on it last year.I gradually got worse and worse until in the end we couldn't even change the channel without losing the signal and had to turn the machine off each time.After speaking to my son's friend I decided to ring the number on the manual.They offered to send us a replacement which we duly received but I refused to accept it as it was badly scratched and covered in finger marks and minus the remote control.cables and hand book etc.When I finally managed to get hold of them by phone they agreed to send another replacement.I was told that the product was no longer made and that the only replacement they could send out was a reconditioned one.My argument was why should we accept an inferior replacement for one that was going back in excellent condition(apart from the fault).Lo and behold the next day I received a brand new unit complete with remote,cables and manual.So if you have a problem with your PVR ring the number in your manual and providing you can tell them when you bought it and the ref,number off the back you should get a replacement.I was told that several people had had the same problem as us..
