A review of Holland & Barrett by Lulu written on Tuesday 29th of July 2008
I have worked for Holland and Barrett for two years. The training is ONGOING and we are constantly challenged every day with customer demands (not to mention the endless other back office and stockroom tasks that need to be undertaken every day)
Whoever left this shallow review of their poor experience with some staff who were probably usually very helpful but were probably treated rudely and abruptly by the 'reviewer' in the first instance and therefore felt no reward in looking up 'cumin seeds' which we dont stock anyway (unfortunatly we do not stock everything on earth contrary to whatever this over zealous busybody thought). We work very hard to advise on the right products. I imagine this person (who also commented on Homebase staff) is quite old as the way young people develop skills in retail is different from when you were working (as opposed to just browsing around being rude to customer service staff with your hands behind your back). Both of my Brothers worked for Homebase, both recieved certificates for excellent customer service and yet eventually left because of people like you. Intelligent people are disregarded just because they are expected to immediately identify an item from in excess of 5000 or in the case of Homebase 20000 products. Try and find a bit of patience and understanding in your cold, judgemental heart..
