A review of Marmaris by Karen written on Tuesday 12th of August 2008
I met my turkish husband whilst he was working here in england and after ten happy years of marriage we went to work in turgutreis for a year. I got areal insight into how turkish men regard ennglish women on hol. "Easy pickings " to sum it up. Time after time I would sit there and listen to my husbands colleagues declare undying love, then lo and behold next week repeating same old lines to different women. I must admit they spin a good yarn and I can understand how they r taken in by their smooth tongue and lithe hips!Lying comes as second nature to them, thats why they flock to these tourist resorts to take advantage of these trusting souls. Most of these guys have turkish wives who live in their home town whom they return to after summer season.I appreciate u cant tar everyone with same brush but these women need to exercise much caution. Most turkish men do not respect foreign women, they think we have no morals and see women as a meal ticket.I was shocked by their underhand ways but my hubbie reassured me that was the norm and they just think it is the womens fault for being so gullible.Luckily my husband due to spending time in europe had become westernised so to speak, prior to our meeting and learnt to respect women, something these guys blatantly dont have!.
