"When its good its v.v.good but when its bad....."

95% delighted with Aldi goods and service but when things go wrong one cannot seem to get in touch with them. No customer service on web site - no phone number either.

Delta Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner - very little used - brush stopped rolling today when getting house cleaned for Christmas. Read instruction book diligently where it says 'remove the agitator' and refers to 'the nozzle' taking an educated guess the agitator means 'brush' in English while the 'nozzle' appears to be the apeture where the brush goes. Two intelligent adults who have had dozens of vacuum cleaners in a long life cannot get in to change the belt despite reading and re-reading instructions.

Phoned Helpine four times - only to get Answer Machine. Carpets desperate for a clean before arriving guests.

A grand but rather heavy vacuum when the belt is running but useless to try and replace it. Heaven help an old lady or single female - even a bright male used to messing about with motors etc.

It is going back tomorrow.
