Hi Sam,

It was not my intention to get at B and Q. I was merely recounting my experience. B and Q is good for many things but clearly not for kitchens. I think they really should stop the sale of kitchens until they get their acts together because all they are doing is spoiling their good name which clearly has taken them years to build. The kitchen I ordered was somehow not delivered and I was then informed that the kitchen had been discontinued and so the order could not be honoured. Order placed in September 2008, delivery date for November 14th, informed kitchen discontinued unable to honour in Nov. It took company until Jan to decide to replace with another kitchen of equal value. New order placed on Jan 12th with delivery date of 21st. This was then changed to Jan 28th. No delivery showed up on 28th. Company still unable to account for failed delivery. Have been chasing up since then. Was then advised that may be could deliver sometime in March but no guarantee. Have last Saturday been offered a refund. That is as simple as the story goes. I understand this is a common experience and B and Q should give up on kitchens as they are really doing a very bad job of it. When I spoke to a colleague,she advised me that if I had spoken to her she would have advised me not to go anywhere near B and Q for kitchen. She had a similar exeperience and needed to get a lawyer involved to get her kitchen.

As I said, I have had positive experience with B and Q in other areas as a DIY store but as kitchen dealers - nightmare experience, definitely not recommended. They should stick to what they do best DIY.
