A review of Pizza Hut by Michael Parmley written on Wednesday 18th of February 2009
I haven't been to Pizza Hut for a few years but the recent UK TV ads really made me want to try their pasta dishes. We visited their Christchurch restaurant on the 29th January this year ( 2009 ) and were met with staff running around like headless chickens, the heating having broken down ( it was sooo cold ), only large pizzas available, the tables cluttered with used dishes, the ice cream machine broken ( we love ice cream ), the salad bar looking like it had been raided by monkeys, the floors littered with food scraps, the wine of our choice unavailable, people around us getting up and leaving, stating that 'they will take their chances elsewhere' ... in fact the experience was a complete debacle. If it wasn't for the sweetness of the waitress, we would have moved on elsewhere as well. Frankly, this experience means we are unlikely to go there again. The only good thing is that for £29 we got a starter, bottle wine, main pasta course and a sweet for two, so to my mind good value. I wrote a stinging letter of complaint to Pizza Hut at Boreham Wood only to receive a reply 'thanking me for bringing the matter to their attention' ..... and that was it! So you pay your money and you take your chances it seems .... .
