A review of Aldi by Peter Gibbs written on Friday 24th of July 2009
Aldi do themselves no favours with their ridiculous policy of isuing NO contact details, email address or even phone number.
If you have a problem with, say, electrical goods, you have to establish it and return the Goods within 30 days. After that you're on the Merry-go-Round of being passed from Store Managers(esses?) with NO authority to discuss, and the Repair Agents, who have NO authority to give Refunds.
The only recourse, if you've got the Balls for it is to sue in the Small Claims Court.
If you do, do it through Northampton County Court which processes Electronically, through the Internet.
It's a pain that is inflicted simply because they know that a majority of Customers give up rather than pursue their Rights.
Become assertive, and note EVERY contact however you make it. Get a name, make anote of time and what you've been told when you do get through.
Write it down and mail it to Aldi Head Office.
Persist and you will prevail.
