A review of Marmaris by Ann - Alnwick written on Sunday 9th of August 2009
I have to agree with everything said about Turkish men.
I have had two encounters, the first a waiter in a very good hotel, he kept giving me alot of attention because I was on holiday alone, we met outside hotel talked and he asked me to come back, he would find apartment cheap and we would be together all holiday.
I sent money for apartment, he paid fr apartment but kept the rest.
When I arrived with gifts for him, he continually asked me for money for petrol for the car he had hired from his friend, which I also had to pay for, to take me to places. Every time we went out it was "give me money, Turkish man always pays". After 5 days of being his personal ATM machine I told him to go, he did not like it, left me stranded in remote place with no one to talk to.
However the Turkish family I was renting from were very nice and I returned there again alone.
Unfortunately I met another young Turkish man Kemal, he said he was part owner in restaurant, he was really good to me then!
When I returned home he telephoned me, emailed me and we spoke on line for 8 months. I returned to see him in December because he cried he needed me. then he started to ask for money, restaurant was in trouble, he needed money to live, he was going home to his family but needed money for bus and to live. Me stupid again gave him what he asked because he promised me a future, he would work for one year, then we would marry, he would come to England and all would be good. Then he got work in Bodrum and all contact stopped, I still ring, and sms to get my money but I doubt if I will ever see it again.
Are they given lessons at school when they are young on how to lie, cheat and steal from English women?
They are all bastards after one thing MONEY! They will tell you anything but this is all they want.
He has destroyed my life!.
