"Lovely venue, shame about the owners"

First of all, the Temple is a stunning venue set in lovely picturesque grounds and was a stunning venue for our wedding. Our problem were the owners Sally and Robert. At first when we were organising our wedding they seemed quite helpful and interested. But the closer you get (i.e once they have your money) it just goes downhill.

There is a nice relaxing lounge area with a fireplace. We were told this would be available for the older guests who wanted to get away from the loud music in the evening. On the day they shut it without telling us.

My wife planned to walk down the isle with her dad and stepdad. A dilemma others face as well. Well after speaking to sally about this we decided she would walk down with one on either side. On the day they'd changed the seating in the hall so they couldnt all fit down the isle. My wife didnt realise till she got to the isle and it was too late, her stepdad had to follow behind. She was gutted.

In the evening a 10 month old baby was sick, Sally's husband was behind the bar. When he was asked for a cloth so the mother could clean it up she was greeted with a "huh well i hope you're gonna clean it up properly!" charming. this is just a couple of things that came back to us after the wedding. And speaking to other people who recently got married there it seems the owners have just sort of lost interest in it and are plodding along but the customer service (lot of money spent!) you expect on your special day has gone.

there are plenty of stunning venues within a 20 mile radius so all i'd say is have a good look round but ultimatley you need to make your own mind up. its your special day dont let ANYONE spoil it.
