"To busy to take a booking !!!"

We have spent many pleasant evenings at Henry's cafe bar in Cambridge. Indeed, it had become our choice for relaxed family or work related celebrations. Tonight - 13 October 2009 - I phoned to book for our son's 21st. I was passed to the manager who said, rather abruptly, that he was too busy to go for the booking register and would I call back tomorrow? No apology. No offer by him to phone me back when things were quieter. Something has clearly gone desperately wrong with this previously delightful cafe.

So, we'll be looking for somewhere else as our preferred celebration venue. Somewhere were we'll be appreciated. We'll probably be starting with the Backstreet Bistro which on first acquaintance seems excellent..
