A review of Bella Italia by Helen written on Tuesday 29th of July 2003
My boyfriend and I ate here once - and never will again. It's a great location - it seems ideal to have dinner there and then go in to the cinema, in a more relaxing mock-up of a proper italian restaurant.
But then the food arrived, and I've never been more disappointed by an Italian meal. I could have cooked better at home with spaghetti and a tin of economy tomatoes. The 'bolognese' was suspiciously low on meat, vegetables and well, generally FLAVOUR. A very thin watery sauce that must have cost about 20p to make and clearly didn't require the services of a chef to prepare!
Chili's is just outside the Grafton. There is no reason whatsoever to step foot inside Mamma Amalfi again..
