The front door is never locked for the reason that it would be a violation of fire safety. Unfortunately though it would also be a violation of regulations the EHO have placed to allow the door to be opened when live music is on. We're sorry that you had a bad experience. We do have someone place at or near the door for the reasons of safety and noise and to stop people using it as an exit. The Haymakers has an unfortunate lay out with entrance/exit and toilets being at opposite ends of the pub. We have begged the bewery to make changes to incorporate another door to the garden area at the rear of the pub but at the moment they're unfortunately not keen for it to happen.

We're very very sorry you had a bad experience, we're trying to make changes all the time to make the Haymakers into a great music venue. .
