"Know what to expect"

I think Aldi is great as long as you understand what to expect:

1- the real bargains are gone in the first few hours of them becoming available

2-often they are out of popular products, especially in the afternoons

3-the products available are often cheaper than in other stores, but availability is unreliable plus choice reduced

I find I only buy things I really need when shopping there; less temptation equals savings..
