"WORST FEAR COME TRUE - REDUNDANCY"

I have just had a phone call from my very tearful daughter. The Stead & Simpson shop she works in is closing down, probably by Christmas Eve. She has two small children and she is distraught. She has worked at the shop for 12 months and really enjoys her job. The shop is in Accrington and the town needs a decent shoe shop. Goodness knows what will replace this shop or will it be yet another empty shell. Please, no more £1 or card shops.
