A review of Tatties Café Restaurant by H. Mebbrey written on Tuesday 22nd of March 2011
I went for meal at this place with my sister in December for a birthday treat. Well........ when the food arrived the potatoes were barely warm, (even the butter was not melting!), far too much hard cheese, plus the potatoes were not cooked in the middle. When we complained - after only eating barely half of the potato we were told by the waitress that she thought the microwave ovens were not working properly! Hello.... why are they serving potatoes to customers then? The said potatoes were taken away and we sat and waited for some kind of recompense or another cooked meal, this was not forthcoming, neither was any apoligies, so we got up and left. Both my sister and myself wrote to the manager regarding this but alas not even the courtsey of a reply. My sister did telephone at the beginning of January to be told by the manager that he had only just retured after 2 week holiday and as of yet had not opened his post (we sent the letters long before Christmas). Still waiting......
Definately would not recomment anybody to go there.
