A review of Cambridge Central Library by pamelaj written on Thursday 21st of August 2003
This is the first time I have heard of an amnesty - WHEN IS IT???
Does it apply to branch libraries as well - if so it is not announced very publicly. Seriously, the libraries are great, the assistants are extremely helpful and v. kind.
I am only sorry that the old-fashioned type of library is gone where there is SILENCE instead of noisy chattering, and even children running about in the adult section, and so much space taken up by computers. (Talking of which that library web site takes some brainwork.) Some of us do LOVE OUR BOOKS. Yes I know it is progress.....
