When I visited my local Aldi in Edinburgh today to purchase whisky which is on offer from today, I was told that people had reserved bottles last night and paid for them after 10.00am today resulting in a complete sell out before they had even reached the shelves. This makes a complete nonsense of advertising dates when offers are available. Is this just a local idea or is it the 'norm' for Aldi's offers and do they approve of it?.
