A review of Cambridge Railway Station by K written on Thursday 5th of January 2012
I have years of experience commuting to London and agree with the comments of the Bury St Edmunds resident. I have recently moved from Kent to Bury St Edmunds. My daily commute to London is flawed with every possible delay and excuse on earth. Yesterday I travelled to Cambridge station and paid £7.70 to park all day (outrageous). Today I went to Brabraham Park and Ride - useless! Arrived at Park & Ride at 07.45 and finally got to the rail station at 8.25. The bus is just in the same queue as normal traffic. The stop is approx 10 mins walk from the station. I have looked on the website for other car parks and there are only two near the station. I heard a rumour that Cambridge people aren't very friendly and helpful and have sadly found this to be true! The rail line to London is good but the challenges to get to it are, I am sure, harder than flying to the moon!!! Tomorrow I'll try Cambridge airport see if I have better luck!!.
