"Aldi Barriers- Watch your HEAD!"

A review of Aldi by Mr D. Sumpter written on Monday 1st of September 2003

I am warning customers to be aware of the dangerous car barrier situated at the Wrexham, Holt Road site.

This barrier is not always in use and has no pedestrian rails warning of the possible dangers.

Saturday, 30th August 2003, my wife crossed the car park just after a car left the site,the barrier dropped onto her head leaving a large swelling and concusion.

On reporting this to a member of staff, she was told that only yesterday, 29th August 2003, the barrier had done a similar thing and cut a ladies head open.

This was not reported on their accident form (if they have one!)

As ALDI have no e-mail address, I can only inform them through this method.

I suggest that they contact me direct with their intensions to stop this practice.

I shall also be informing the health and safety department in my area..
