A review of The Gandhi Indian Cuisine Restaurant by Curry Fan written on Wednesday 3rd of September 2003
I was very disappointed with the Ghandi. This is the first Indian restaurant I have been to in Cambridge, having moved here from Leeds very recently, and being a mad curry fan.
The service was fine - courtous and friendly, but the food!! This was not like any curry I have ever had, and I have had a few.
We ordered specialities, expecting these to be the best, as you would, and found them tastless, very oily, lacking any sauce and indistinguishable from each other. The only 'flavour' was the high proportion of chilli peppers.
I'm sorry, but in Leeds, Bradford, Leicester or Birmingham, this place would not stand a chance. There must be somewhere better than this in Cambridge??.
