A review of Tindalls by Jane written on Saturday 22nd of October 2016
In the Colchester store I was disappointed with the service and lack of interest in my question about Acrylic Retarder, the shop assistant pointed to where the product should have been and then told me that because the caps were broken on the order they were supposed to have had coming in, they didn`t have any and wouldn`t be getting any. Surely the only art shop in Colchester would stock a basic item such as this? The assistant`s lackadaisical attitude left me feeling bad and disappointed. With so many independent shops closing due to online shopping one would expect more from Tindalls. However, i spent over £15 but, i will probably order online in future and give Tindalls a miss. I`m sure Tindalls won`t miss two customers but both myself and husband are artists. I expect something as ordinary as Acrylic Retarder to be in stock and if i`m going to spend a lot of money, i would at least like it to be a pleasant experience..
