Michael Howes would have to be the most knowledgeable fellow in East Anglia when it comes to compatibility of components, etc for modifying or re-furbishing bikes. The shop was originally started in the 1800's by his grandfather, making their own bikes amongst other things.

I found this shop extremely useful during my time in Cambridge..
