I am a member of U3A Knox, Melbourne, Australia. We had over 80 class subjects for some 850 members in 2003. Our subjects range from Languages (Indonesian, French, German, Italian), Literature (George Eliot to DH Lawrence), History (Australian, Europe, Gt.Britain), Ethics, Bush Walking, Bird Watching, Creative Writing, Tai Chi,Excursions,Computer Instruction, etc.

Our Campus is a council owned ex kindergarten for which we pay a peppercorn rent. But have to rent other premises to accommodate classes. Membership fee $30 per annum, possibly rising to cover costs in future..
