"We're NOT happy!"

A review of Blockbuster by Victoria written on Tuesday 17th of February 2004

I am actually searching for an email address for Blockbuster Video so I can send this direct to them, but so far no luck!

Here's what I want to say...

On behalf of myself and my friends and family here are our thoughts on the service we receive from the Gravesend branch of the international store.

Unfortunatley in the last year or so there seems to be more and more home made videos mixed among actual films! Blockbuster is charging people to see low budget unheard of films such as 'Ankle Biters' and 'Head Cheerleader, Dead Cheerleader'! Of course generally in the film industry there are going to be some turkeys (such as The Avengers). But these home made films have not only got terrible storylines, awful unknown actors and poor sound & picture quailty - they have also obviously been filmed on someones home video recorder and made for about a tenner! My little sister makes home movies better than the ones they're renting from a well known video store! It's like a badly run little video shop except Blockbuster charges nearly double what independent stores do!

Another big problem that we all find is the ridiculous soft porn films that are mingled in with everything else! They are sat along side the new releases stands, so under 'Charlies Angels' there is "Muffy the Vampire Slayer'! At least put them in their own section!
