"Wintry Wedding Venue"

A review of The Bridge by Diane Stearn written on Tuesday 21st of December 2010

Barely six weeks to organise a wedding the week before Christmas- not exactly ideal. We wanted somewhere local, intimate and friendly, not stuffy and formal and for a small party of guests, some of whom had travelled from the States. The Bridge fitted the bill with its waterside setting and cosy, pre-Christmas atmosphere. We were not disappointed. We provided tablecloths and decorations which the staff used to present a lovely long table with a mini top table for our bride and groom, obviously taking great care. The waiting staff were super, not over attentive, just right, friendly and helpful and the food was all delivered to our table at the same time, piping hot and cooked very well, with the right interval between courses due to a lovely waiter with his eye on proceedings. All of our guests and the bride and groom were thrilled with the place with its wintry riverside setting and all were very impressed with the food. I would thoroughly recommend the new –look Bridge for any such occasion. Well done to all and our grateful thanks..
