A review of The Ship by Guiness lover written on Friday 25th of August 2006
Although off the beaten track that is Cambridge city centre we went into the Pub on a Saturday night and was impressed by the singer who dutifully belted out a whole range of musical renditions from the 60s to the 00s. The beer was crisp and clean and served by a friendly landlady whose welcome made us feel quite at home. A superb eveening which has led to many more weekend nights spent getting slightly inebriated. Although there are only snacks on offer, crisps, nuts and even picked eggs the range of Charles Wells beer on draught and bottles should cater for all tastes. Thanks to the staff for ensuring that all enjoyed the entertainment, singers on a Saturday, karaoke every other Sunday with believe it or not a game of card bingo on a monday night that seems to be very popular with the regulars who all head there for 6:30pm start.
Fantastic pub. Cheers to all at the Ship, Northfield Avenue.
