"Still bad but they continue to get away with it"

A review of The Plough by Jane W written on Monday 26th of July 2010

I've been disappointed with the service at the Plough before but during Bumps week (20 - 23rd July 2010) I wanted to see my friends rowing so tried again. The first night of the bumps which must be one of their busiest weeks of the year I queued and queued for a drink while one of the bar staff polished a credit card machine. Second night they refused to serve food at all in the garden. Third night - cold and wet from rowing in the rain - I nearly froze to death in the queue, 2 out of 3 draft beers had run out and they didn't have any Coke either! And fourth night again they refused to take a food order. Why do they leave menus lying around to tantilise hungry rowers when they won't serve us? And why are the staff so surly? I suppose they get away with it because of the location.....
