A review of Corner House by Richard McGuire written on Wednesday 10th of December 2003
There's been an overhaul of this pub in 2003 that makes the adjective "radical" sound tame. Apart from the change in the interior decor, the current landlord and landlady are pleasant, very hardworking and keen to run a tight ship. People might comment about the price increases, but it's worth spending 10p extra for a pint in a place you can relax in.
If you're not from the area, it's worthwhile for the food. There's good, generous pub grub, and because the staff are "food people", they're versatile and you can be accommodated according to your appetite..
