A review of The Oak Bistro by Richard Palmer written on Wednesday 29th of July 2009
We managed to escape for an evening without the little one and really fancied some proper bistro food. Wow what a place, menu right up my street, belly pork to start, very nice, then haddock with hollandaise, poached egg and bubble and squeak cake, really nice, good quality ingredients and something i would not cook at home 9as opposed to steak or canard which i would cook). Washed down with a nice Rhone valley red. Birthday tomorrow (30th July), may well take the little one with us for lunch.
