"RIP OFF - What was wrong with the 01223 number"

I have paid tax and National insurance entitling me to free NHS treatmient, so why do I have to pay money to call them. It costs me 20p per minute to phone 0844 numbers and I was number 9 in the queue when I phoned today.

Another thing, why can't the phone just ring, rather than pick up and then make you pay for 10 minutes of waiting. It's disgraceful that I have to pay to listen to a message being repeated over and over.

I hate donating £2 to my phone company just to make a f**cking doctors appointment..
