"PUT TO THE TEST THEY DID BRILLIANTLY"

One of my neighbours in Cambourne said her family wouldn't buy bikes from anybody but Colin at University Cycles. So I put this to the test.

I got him to suggest a bike for me and send me a photo. Then I found a 2nd bike's details on Amazon. And took these to a major store selling bikes where they had identified a 3rd bike for me.

Off the record which bike did that expert say was the best? Well he immediately warned me off the one from Amazon since it had some well-known issues. His own store waa selling the same one. But now it was excluded. Then he admitted that the 3rd bike which he'd settled on for me was not as good as the one Colin had identified. So he'd lost a sale by being disarmingly honest. Still, he got to sell me a good lock as a consolation prize!

Today I went back to Colin and paid for the bike. Later I looked up the model and could find nobody anywhere offering it for less. And this is when Colin has tossed in a spare inner-tube and free delivery 10 miles away. In other words he is a total star. And very pleasant to boot..
