"Glorious Carpets"

A review of The Ship by Dr Underlay written on Thursday 5th of February 2004

Good day to you all. My name is Charlie from the Midlands. I have to say that I am a huge fan of the ship, it is truly a wonderful establishment. The gorgeous bar staff with their toothy smiles and the great nitro keg beer.

However, my view could be slightly tainted by the fact I have a bit of a soft spot for the old carpets. I am a firm believer in a good quality floor covering and that is what I found in the Ship.

The first indication I had of this is when I stepped into the Ship and tried to take a step and my shoes were removed from my feet. On taking another step I had the skin removed from my feet. In my mind a carpet that grips you that much screams quality the kind you can only find in Bromsgrove.

You will find me a regular attraction in the ship from now on rooted to the spot with my 12 string, gold machine headed, mother of pearl inlay guitar banging out hits from every era, mainly the 60s though singing about my extension.
