Cheesy as it sounds, it is the truth. You will always discover something you haven't seen before. Delicious poppadoms to cook at home, an outstanding range of rices, spices and condiments in bulk, very fairly priced; olives from various parts of the Mediterranean, fresh fruit and vegetables (everyday and exotic), fresh herbs, etc, etc.

A shop that does not simply sit on its good reputation, but is always improving, bringing in new ranges, listening to what its customers need; staff always happy to help and answer any questions (they once gave my friend advice on what to buy and how to cook it for a home-made curry!).

And perhaps most important for me, their frozen fish and seafood range is miles better than ANY of the big supermarkets, and it's not all in batter.

If you like cooking your own food from scratch, you simply must visit Al-Amin. And no, they haven't paid me for this :-).
